Coral Gables, Walking My Neighborhood – Amidst the Splendor of the Holiday Season – Saturday, December 9, 2017
December 9, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Strolling past distinctive homes and churches, plazas and parks, you’ll get a sense of the joy of living in this City Beautiful. You will peer into the windows of the oldest house in Coral Gables and learn why it is built around a shack. You’ll see the honeymoon cottage of the city’s founder and find out why it was built with no kitchen. And, thanks to your local guide, you’ll learn about some of the little known yet fascinating aspects of life in the Gables only a local would know.
Your promenade through the Gables streets will include numerous photo opportunities. Ending your walk back at The Biltmore, the richness of the experience will have made our neighborhood your neighborhood, too.
Afterwards, we will convene at the Biltmore Hotel for a special presentation of Abandoned Vehicles of The Everglades, an art project by Charles J. Kropke’s & Matt Stock’s company Adventure Life Productions.Holiday snacks will be provided!
- Free parking is available on the right hand-side of the hotel
- The tour will start promptly at 6:00pm
- We will meet in the Lower Lobby of the Biltmore Hotel
